QUANTUM ILLUMINATION
"The probability that we see reality as it is, is zero. Reality could be simulated — for example by computer simulation — to a degree indistinguishable from ‘true’ reality. It could contain conscious minds which may or may not be fully aware that they are living inside a simulation. This is quite different from the current, technologically achievable concept of virtual reality. Virtual reality is easily distinguished from the experience of actuality participants are never in doubt about the nature of what they experience. Simulated reality, by contrast, would be hard or impossible to separate from ‘true’ reality."
- Donald Hoffman, a professor of cognitive science at the University of California, Irvine
Pranayama is Yoga breath control. Prana is an ancient Sanskrit word that means "breath". This author has effected great changes in reality through breath control. By breathing we create a "quantum eraser" that changes reality by reversing causality. This is also known as "quantum retrocausality," in other words: traveling back in time. For a long time, scientists thought that the second law of thermodynamics prevents time from flowing backwards, but now quantum physics reveals to us that we are not contained by this law. We can attain illumination (also known as photismos) through creating changes at the quantum level. This can be done in a variety of ways. For example, through our ability to create changes in the quantum field, we can travel to the realms of the Gods (what the Gnostics call the Pleroma). How specifically can we accomplish this?
We live in an ocean of energy that is vibrating at the speed of light squared. The Kybalion states that all is mind. Our thoughts influence our Astral Body (the Emotional Body). Feelings, in turn, create a vibrational state. Every time we shift our thoughts and focus, we create an emotionally charged thoughtform that shifts us into parallel realities.
For several decades now, science fiction authors have told us that we are living in an artificial simulation. Amazingly, more and more accredited scientists are now supporting this view. Even more spectacularly, we have the power to change the game within the game (or you may say that we are creating a simulation that will run within a simulation). Life is like a dream within a dream. Just as we can become conscious during the night that we are dreaming and thus direct the course of our dream (this is known as "Lucid Dreaming"), so too we can realize that we are sleepwalking during the day and wake up out of our day dream.
We are, each one of us, programmers. Humans have been doing this forever. All the history of humanity is like one giant painting that exists in the now. This was first noticed in the 20th century with such authors as Anthony Norvell, U.S. Anderson, and Dr. Maxwell Maltz, who taught us about the power of the subconscious mind and how we can "program" our subconscious mind and thereby manifest the world and experiences we want. What is going on here? The mind is always thinking. It never stops thinking. When we think we are sleeping, the subconscious is still thinking. In fact, recent scientific evidence is demonstrating that in reality, our subconscious does 95% of our thinking! Therefore, while for those who have attained the ability to discipline and control their conscious minds, the vast majority of people are controlled by their subconscious minds. Thus, besides practicing various methods to focus and discipline our minds, we must address our subconscious minds. Norvell wrote books like "Mind Cosmology" and "How to Control Your Destiny". U.S. Andersen wrote "The Greatest Power in the Universe" and "Magic in Your Mind." Dr. Maxell Maltz wrote the amazing "Psycho-Cybernetics." Thus, we can reverse-engineer our lives. We have the power to re-write our pasts, so that our present changes.
We are beginning to realize that there is a trap-door in the back of our subconscious mind that is more like an escape hatch into the subatomic field that permeates and interpenetrates all and everything. Now, science is helping us to understand this by explaining how the brain contains what are called microtubules. These microtubules are so infinitesimal that they can have quantum events happening inside them. Space-time is malleable, and we can manipulate it inside our minds. In my experience, it is when we do not have thought, and perhaps allow the unconscious free rein, that we can manifest what we want.
This is very similar to the neither-neither teachings of perhaps the greatest chaos magician of all time, Austin Osman Spare. Marcus M. Jungkurth writes about Spare’s work, "Thanatos: ‘Entering the underworld’ refers to a transition from the material to the psychical point of view. Three dimensions become two as the perspective of nature, flesh and matter fall away, leaving an existence of immaterial, mirrorlike images, eidola . . . the Greek word Eidolon signifying an image. Spare described the state when consciousness has crossed this fine line as Neither-Neither or In between, ‘not this – nor that’, out of which most notably his automatic drawings rose. The ‘Neither-Neither’ principle of those two, is the state where the mind has gone beyond conception . . . The ‘I’ principle has reached the ‘Does not matter – need not be’ state, and it is not related to form. The key to reaching this state is the attainment of a ‘total vacuity’ of the conscious mind." In other words, the key to re-writing the computer code of the Matrix is found in a state of mind in which you first: clearly know what you want, and second: you completely empty your mind for a length of time (and hour is sufficient) of all thoughts. This emptying of the mind can be attained through the practice of pranayama, Zen practice, Non-dual practice (also known as Neo-Advaita), entheogens, Surrealism, as well as through the Chaos Magic techniques of Austin Osman Spare. There is no Causality, other than in the reality in which we choose to believe. Therefore, as Miguel Conner might say, the only "true" religion is the unique mythos that we create.
Surrealism aims to eliminate conscious control in order to express the workings of the unconscious mind. Surrealism uses art as a means of revealing the hidden world of the unconscious. André Breton revealed that Surrealism is a means of reuniting conscious and unconscious realms of experience so completely that the world of dream and fantasy would be joined to the everyday rational world in "an absolute reality, a surreality." This art movement seems to be an excellent path for those of us seeking to understand spiritual and religious experience as well as in "writing our own gospel and living our own myth," as Miguel Conner recommends.
Entheogengs (Peyote, Ayahuasca, San Pedro cactus, Psilocybin mushrooms) can change your outer world. Aldous Huxley wrote, "The other world to which mescaline admitted me was not the world of visions it existed out there, in what I could see with my eyes open. The great change was in the realm of objective fact. What had happened to my subjective universe was relatively unimportant." The mescaline had changed his objective reality. Some mushrooms have been known to permit the partaker to actually "see" the Matrix code of his or her particular life, and grant him or her the ability to change the code.
You are more unique than you can imagine. You are so unique that your way to enlightenment is the only way, for you and you only. Everyone else, if they exist, have their own paths. "Your duty is to be and not to be this or that," as Sri Ramana Maharshi taught us.
At first, you must be willing to enter a state of liminality. In other words, you must be willing to enter a state in which you are no longer grasping the worldviews and sense of yourself that you held in the past, and yet not up till now completely ready to enter your new world. You stand on the threshold, neither in one world nor another. This can be a frightening place to be. However, if you are practicing a method carefully and correctly, there is no fear. Rather, you feel an incredible peace that goes beyond what we commonly refer to as "peace" you feel almost as if you are not there. Your task is to go right up to the very threshold of the void, and dwell there, balancing like a tight-rope walker, rather than leaping into the void and disappearing altogether. You enter an interstitial consciousness.
Ultimately, for those who desire states of Gnosis (direct spiritual knowledge) and illumination, you must transcend all simulations. Through gradually letting go of each simulation in which you find yourself, you can eventually attain states of enlightenment. In a way, it is like when someone asks you to play a game with them, and you say "No." The other person may attempt to persuade you in various ways to play the game, but if you are firm and unshakable and refuse to play, eventually they will go away. All spiritual seekers have read the words of various great gurus and Initiates that teach that we must let go of all attachment to the world. This author would like to update this and say that we must let go of all of our attachments to simulations if our ultimate goal is to reach the Ultimate Reality. A fascinating experience awaits those who are willing to make this ultimate renunciation: these dedicated people discover that they receive in return all that they have ever wanted and more. This experience too is spoken about by the great sages of all time. Be careful to include all your most embarrassing secrets, traumas, most shameful deeds, and all the ways you harm yourself, in your renunciations. In other words, do not hold onto past embarrassments in a misguided attempt to "atone for your sins." As Pema Chödrön, an American nun in the Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism, teaches, we must let go of "holding back". She says that we must renounce "closing down and shutting off from life." This is not a one-time-experience. This is a practice. One must continually peel away, layer by layer, that which chains us in our virtual prisons. The moment you become complacent and believe you have "done it", is the moment when you are most at risk for falling back into chains. Continually, we must on a daily basis walk the tight-rope, living in the present moment, and releasing our attachment to whatever reality we are manifesting at any particular moment (pleasant or unpleasant). [Notice this author did not say that you should rid your life of all that pleases you. That would be a complete misunderstanding. This author is saying that you must rid yourself of all sense of clutching, holding onto, and grasping your pleasures. Sadly, some people also clutch their suffering. These people find it very difficult to release their attachment to their suffering, for very often, their suffering becomes like a friend to them. However, suffering (even if it appears like a beautiful spiritual act), can be just as large a blockage to enlightenment as can winning a billion-dollar lottery drawing.]
Certain researchers are now saying that dreams are alternate realities that we ourselves are creating it does not matter that you can fly and do other things that defy the laws of our universe in your dreams, because universes can have any law structure. Maybe our consciousness does not even reside in this universe, but somewhere else. This might give more insight into the words of Jesus Christ when he said "The Kingdom of God can’t be detected by visible signs." [Luke 17:20] This author believes it is possible that the "Kingdom of God" (some translations render this as the "Kingdom of Heaven") is the place or headquarters where our consciousness resides. The "Kingdom of God" may be the Gnostic "Pleroma" that some Gnostics place at the center of our Milky Way galaxy. Some scientists are on the record as stating that our consciousness, and perhaps our entire world, rests on the lip of a black hole. Is it a coincidence that a supermassive black hole is located at the center of our Milky Way galaxy, exactly where some Gnostics say that the Gods and Goddesses dwell?
